MyHealthMath Team Spotlight: Heather Rogers

Here at MyHealthMath, we love our team. Each month, we select a team member to share with our network, so that you can get to know us from the inside out. This month’s team member is Heather Rogers.

What inspired you to work at MyHealthMath?

I was inspired by the people. I really enjoyed learning about the company’s mission of empowering employees to make informed health plan decisions, and I wanted to contribute. I was also excited to expand upon my public health background with a focus on health plans. 

What’s your day-to-day like at MyHealthMath? How has working here furthered your professional and personal goals?

Heather Rogers, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Implementation

I lead our implementation team, so I work very closely with our clients – both HR teams and brokers. I act as an interface between these folks and MyHealthMath. I work to meet clients’ needs and help them to the best of my ability. I also make sure that our team has all the information that we need to deliver our services. 

Personally, working here has allowed me to learn so much more about health insurance plans. It has been nice to be more helpful to my family and friends who are confused about their health insurance. Professionally, I have had opportunities that I never would have had at another company or organization. Our executives trust in me has allowed me to be more creative and forward thinking in my day-to-day work.

Describe a rewarding project that you have worked on during your time at MyHealthMath.

Improving our implementation process so that HR teams’ experience with us is as easy as possible! Working through our busiest seasons has allowed me to identify gaps in our process, so we can improve every year. 

What goals do you have for the future of MyHealthMath?

I hope that we can branch out to be able to help even more employees and families. Those who have used our services have benefited financially, saving hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. I’d love to assist more families in this way. In addition to savings, we can help employees feel less stressed about their health plan choice, which is even more important in a year like this.

Also, I love working with our team and I would love to build our team to have more hardworking, energetic individuals who I can learn from.

What is your favorite thing about working with the MyHealthMath Team?

We are all super hard working and we all care about one another. Even though we have been virtual for the past year, it still feels like we have been able to connect with each other and deliver quality services to our clients.

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?

I really enjoy podcasts, puzzling, being with my dogs, and running*.

*(Heather has completed 3 half marathons, including a virtual one this past fall!)
